Doylestown, PA, February 26, 2013 — Barb Seiden of Barb’s Personal Training has been hired as an instructor at Chestnut Hill College. As part of the school’s education department, Ms. Seiden will teach “Physical Education Health and Safety Methods” for all of the school’s elementary education students.
Ms. Seiden has a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Chestnut Hill College, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from West Chester University. She currently teaches elementary physical education in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District.
“My course will encompass health and physical activity as integral components of the elementary school day,” Ms. Seiden explained of the required course for elementary education majors. Her course begins in the Fall 2013 semester.
Barb Seiden is a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and physical education teacher, with a specialty in adaptive exercise. With an anytime, anywhere approach to fitness, Barb even trains clients by video conference. A self-described kinesiology geek, avid runner and triathlete, she leads weekly fitness and TRX classes, and sees personal training clients at Serenity Day Spa and Wellness Center in Doylestown, while running the swimming program each summer at Fanny Chapman.
